COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP

A critical aspect of Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists’ mission is to support the next generation of broadcast journalists. This includes fostering skill-building opportunities and awarding annual scholarships to college students and aspiring journalists.

2024 COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION

The Board of the Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists will judge applications based on a number of merits including:
-Overall student accomplishments
-Dedication to academic studies and activities related to broadcast journalism
-Letter(s) of Recommendation

> There is no fee to submit a scholarship application.
> The total number of scholarships, and total amount of scholarships, will vary year to year and is at the sole discretion of
the FABJ Board.

Scholarship application (below) -and- Letters of Recommendation (submitted via email) will be accepted until: Saturday, February 3, 2024 (11:59PM EST)

Letters of Recommendation:
In addition to completing the form below, applications must include at least two Letters of Recommendation. These recommendations may come from instructors, professors, volunteer organization directors, community leaders, etc. The person providing the recommendation should EMAIL FABJ by Saturday, February 3, 2024 (11:59PM EST) explaining support for why you deserve a scholarship.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Fully complete an application

  • Must be a sophomore, junior or senior level student at an accredited college or university in Florida

  • Maintain at least a 2.5 GPA
