Morgan Norwood is an award-winning journalist for ABC News, known for delivering high-impact reporting across multiple platforms. She has covered some of the most consequential stories of our time, blending in-depth investigative work with compelling, on-the-ground storytelling. 

As a frequent correspondent for Good Morning America, World News Tonight, Nightline, and ABC News Live, Morgan has led extensive coverage on Hurricane Helene in North Carolina, the deadly New Year’s Day tragedy in New Orleans, the aftermath of Hurricane Ernesto in Bermuda, and the exclusive medical breakthrough in xenotransplantation. She has also provided in-depth reporting on the UnitedHealthcare CEO murder, and an emotional two-part series marking the Columbine tragedy.

Beyond breaking news, Morgan is passionate about amplifying underreported stories in diverse communities. For ABC News Live Prime with Linsey Davis, she led a national investigation into autopsy inaccuracies in police custody deaths, examined a controversial reparations policy in Rhode Island, and highlighted the urgent needs of historically black universities in the wake of funding challenges.

Before joining ABC’s New York headquarters in 2022, Morgan spent years within the ABC/Disney family. At WABC in New York, she covered breaking news across the city’s five boroughs, and during her time at ABC’s WTVD in Raleigh-Durham, she reported extensively on the U.S. military, embedding with troops both domestically and abroad.
